EASLEY, SC – (MARKET WIRE )- October 20, 2010 –Computer Software Innovations, Inc. (“CSI”) (OTCBB: CSWI.OB), a leading provider of public sector utility billing software, reached a benchmark in customer adoption of the electronic bill payment solution, launched in 2008. Two years after its release, the eGov solution is now deployed at over 33% of the CSI billing software customer sites.
The success of the eGov solution can be attributed in large part to the fact that consumers are increasingly choosing to pay bills online, especially recurring bills such as utilities. Danny Gilbert, Assistant City Manager for the City of Lenoir, North Carolina, recognized this trend and cites it as one of the primary reasons for implementing the eGov solution, “eGov has reduced the number of complaints from our customers that we did not take credit cards or offer a way to pay electronically.” Gilbert goes on to say that “Customers are also benefiting from the convenience of 24/7 access.”
The eGov suite includes the electronic bill payment feature for utilities and taxes, which is fully integrated with CSI’s financial management software. Additionally, eGov offers dynamic tools that allow consumers to apply for new service and place service requests online. “For municipalities who bill for utilities, electronic payment programs such as eGov hold tremendous untapped potential to dramatically increase efficiency, improve customer service, and enhance customer satisfaction,” commented Burt Lancaster, Senior Vice President at CSI. Further development of the eGov solution is underway with plans to meet the continuing consumer demand for electronic self-service.
